~ Flea Market Saturday ~

I went to one of my favorite flea markets today ~ it is one of those flea markets that is almost all old things, not any garage sale stuff ~ it is fun to just browse through all of the goodies ~ I was on a search today for vintage tins ~ I found these two tins and also some other neat yummies that I will be listing on my website ~ Katies Rose Cottage ~

~ My Current BLUE Obsession ~

I am not sure what it is but I love the color blue lately ! It seems like I am drawn to it at flea markets just as much as I am pink ( well, almost as much ) ~ I LOVE it ! Here is a little sneak peak at some of the blue things that I found this last couple of weeks on my shopping trip that I have been telling you about ~

~ New Puppy ~

My daughter just got this most precious little puppy named Kenzi ~ she is such a doll !!! She weighs 1 pound 8 ounces and is 9 weeks old ~ I feel like a new grandma :o) telling how much she weighs ~
There is nothing cuter than puppies ~ well.... maybe baby anything ~

~ Antique Lace ~

I found this gorgeous lace while I was gone and just love the intricate detail ~ I always wonder about the history of these wonderful old things ~ Wouldn't it be neat to know why it was purchased in the first place, what it was going to be used for, what its journey was before I found it ~ It was wrapped on a piece of cardboard that says it was purchased in 1910 ~
I will be starting an etsy site soon and will be listing some of it ~ I can't wait !!!

~ Another Peak at My Recent Treasures ~

I just wanted to show you some more pics of my treasure hunting over the last couple of weeks ~ the flea markets and antique shops were so much fun !

I drove for about 30 minutes to get to this one town that was supposed to be fun for antique stores ~ well there was one shop open and the other ones were closed for one reason or another ~ one lady just needed to run some errands so she closed ~ this is a sign that was on another shop door ~ It felt like I had gone back in history about 50 years ~

~ Chippy Wood Frames ~

I just love vintage wood chippy frames ~ they add such a wonderful charm to any cottage chic, shabby chic and romantic decor ~ We have just added some to our Vintage Finds category along with some chippy wood petite mirrors ~
