Pictures of Canton

Canton was amazing this month !!! I just love the Canton First Monday flea market ~
I started taking pictures the first day I was there and then the second day my battery died ~ there was no way that I was going to leave to go buy batteries so I just didn't take any more ~

It kind of was funny this month because it seemed like people just had a BUNCH of certain things ~ Like this picture of hand mixers ~

Or this one of old mantels and beds ~ I would love to have had a spot for each one of those things because this was the place to get them ~

This man had just tables of stuff ~ it was so funny because each little thing you had to ask him the price of ~ I think if I had tables full like that, I would sell it by the jar full or something like that ~ this was the perfect spot to find bangles and baubles galore ~

Can you tell we are in Texas ???

This guy had the most amazing OLD stuff ~ these are old ledgers that dated in the 1910's to 1920's ~ it was fun to look through them at how people used to keep records ~ Now I am kicking myself for not picking up one ~

Well that is all because of the dead camera ~ soooo.....
ta ta for now !

LORI!!!! We were there yesterday. I read through those ledgers; I was amazed at the eggbeaters; and I BOUGHT the antique metal baby bed for a daybed - (Did you see it?!?!? We left it there for hours.) I was mad because we never did make it to the Pavillion because Gary was talking to all of the dealers (his friends). I tugged on his shirt but he just kept talking. All in all, we had a lovely time and I hated that I forgot my camera. Sorry we missed you.

Oh Lori,
I wish I could just fly down there and go to your flea markets. It is so cold here in Pennsylvania, it will be awhile till I can treasure shop at a flea market. I will just dream a little.....

Lori,
What great pictures.... I know what you mean about passing up some things... but you can't buy it all... although sometimes I wish I could....
Wouldn't that be fun to have a bloggers shopping day. I met several gals that knew me from my blog....

You are so lucky to have the flea markets there. We have one here in the summer on Sundays and it's about 30 miles away. I go a few times a season and I love it, too. Of course, we do have Brimfield, that's 3 times a year. I go when I can get away. I'm looking forward to Spring when they start.

Hey Lori, Loved your photos of Canton. I am so jealous of the Texas and Ca. people who have all those wonderful flea markets. Are you going to Chicago with the other MMP girls? What fun they will have! ~ Lynn
