Fun Day at Canton Trade Days

I tried to take some pics to show you of my first day at Canton ~ Wednesday is the day when alot of people that have businesses go to buy so it is pretty crazy ~ the good thing about selling here is that there are always eager people to help you unload your car ~ this is a picture of people waiting at the back of a ladies car just ready to unload it for her and see what she brought ~ it is just a tad bit stressful because the buyers aren't very friendly when they are on the hunt for treasures !!



I love chippy things although I didn't buy these ~ maybe I will see if they are left tomorrow ~

New Soldered Charms

I am on my way to Canton tomorrow for 2 days ~ I am hoping that I will find alot of treasures specifically more rose china ~ last month was awesome beyond belief !!! I am on the hunt for crinoline skirts, pink doilies, china ( of course ) and vintage mercury Christmas balls as well as anything else that catches my eye ~ they had the Christmas balls last month but they were $15 a box ~



I will leave you with some of the new soldered charms that have just been added in the Jewelry category ~ most of the charms have been embellished with German glass glitter ~ I just love the sparkle that it gives ~

Artful Blogging Dress Form

I was so excited when I received the Winter issue of Artful Blogging and saw a picture of my dress form ~ It is in an article about Tiffany's "Show Me Your Form" blog party ~ I had to include my dress form in the party because my family truly does not get the whole dress form thing ~ in fact my girls who are 19 and 21 think she is pretty scary ~

It was alot of fun and really fun to be in one of my very favorite magazines ~ in fact all of the Somerset Studio magazines are pretty much to die for gorgeous ! I would love to carry some of them on my website so I will have to see if I can do that ~

Make Mine Pink * Pink Fridays

This Friday join Katies Rose Cottage and Make Mine Pink for our Pink Friday shopping event ~

This week's theme is "In the Hope Chest "

I remember when I was a little girl going up to my Great Grandma's attic ~ it was filled with treasures from years and generations past ~ it was so much fun to hear the stories of each treasure lovingly put away in trunks and chests ~

When I was in High School my mom and dad gave me a hope chest that I filled with special linens and other things that I would someday use in my own home ~ these were things that my grandmas and mom would pass down to me or things that I collected that I loved ~

Vintage Rose China

We got home from vacation late last night and are trying to get back in the swing of things ~ I don't know why it seems so hard to get back to normal life ~

Before we left I went on a shopping trip for a couple of days to stock up on some treasures and found alot of them ~ It was soooo much fun !!
I will be listing them over the next couple of days in between catching up on orders ~

More Disney World Fun

Yesterday we spent the day at Animal Kingdom in our tie dye shirts that we made over the summer and posted a while back ~ We looked like such dorks but it was really easy to find each other ~ It was alot of fun seeing the animals on the Safari ride but Expedition Everest was our favorite ~

Here we are even being bigger dorks with our It's a Bug's Life 3-D glasses ~ they are pretty darn cute ~

It rained like crazy in the afternoon at Animal Kingdom ~ of course it was the one day we didn't bring our ponchos ~

Today we went to Epcot and tasted foods from around the world at their wine and cheese festival ~ it was great today because the crowds were super light and there wasn't any rain ~ My favorite country to visit was Italy and Paris but they were all fun ~

Family Vacation

We have had a family vacation planned for about a year and it finally is here !
My sister's family and my family all met in Florida at Disney World on Sunday ~
We were talking about how it just used to be her and I and our husbands, just the four of us when we vacationed and now our family has grown to 11 of us ~



We arrived on Sunday at the Orlando airport and got a six day park hopper to Disney World ~ the first day we just had a few hours so we started at Hollywood Studios and hit Tower of Terror first ~ it was alot of fun and was great because the lines were fairly short ~



Today we went to Magic Kingdom which is alot like Disneyland but smaller ~ It was packed packed with people so we left in the late afternoon and just hung out at our condo ~
