I am living in Texas and it is cold in the winter !! We moved here about 16 years ago from California for my husband's job ~ It always cracks me up when Texans say that you don't really need a coat here because it doesn't get that cold ~
Well we decided that we need to move somewhere that it is warm all year ~ I literally am not one of those people that needs all 4 seasons ~ I LOVE sun and warmth and if I want to see the seasons then I can take a little trip somewhere just for the weekend or something ~
So this is now ~ Why is this fun for some people ? I just don't get it at all ~ I am only smiling because my daughter and I drove the truck to the woodpile and she sat in the car with the door closed and watched me ~ Then she would open the door just fast enough to say something and close it before the snow came in ~

And this is how I want it to be year round ~
Now this is wayyyy more fun !

I need some warm weather ~ Please come back sunshine ~

G'morn, Lori ~ Too cute a write! You are having a heat wave compared to our 20 above today .... yesterday it was 13 high & 7 low in MD.
Another couple of weeks & the het will bear down & we'll all be needing a/c ... chuckle!
Have a beautiful week.

yes you are a sun loving gal for sure...cant blame you. I am ready right now to go out in a new 4" of snow from over night. scrape car, walk on snowy sidewalks, freeze toes.
when we left dallas it was sunny and we landed that night in 26 degrees.
I have to laugh at your cold spells.
I hear ya though...if I could chose, it would be a warm year round place. and just memories of snow...and cold. Its the cold...brrrrrrrr I dislike.
Lori -
I soooooo can relate! Friday it was sunshine and a high in the 40's, I commented on it saying, "I'm so happy we don't have snow". Well, I must have jinxed myself because I woke up to snow today! Ughhhh! I'm wishing for sunshine :)

I won't even tell you that the California Coast was basked in sunshine today! Ha! Time for a road trip, Lori!
I remember the snow days...I miss it..but not the shoveling snow..It was sunny here today in CA but we have had alot of rain lately and boy did we miss the sun!
IT HAS BEEN DREARY!!!!!!!! I agree! But, I do like seasons. I guess we have a shorter cold season than most folks. I look on some of these blogs & think BRRRRRRRRRRRRR Let's get together! Charlene
Lori, I love, love, love everything you create! I just found your blog today after you entered my giveaway. I'll be back! Please come back and visit me again too! I love company!

PS I do not always have time to go visit, so will you please let me know when you post it? thanks
Yes Lori I agree, but you even manage to make a parka look cute! I feel bad complaining about weather when the mid-west has it so much worse. They must think we're cry babies. But I think it's the wind that makes it so miz. Anyway, bring on the Spring!
Lisa
PS Thanks for the nice comment on my slippers. I'm doing more.
LOL! Yeah, I hear ya. Even being a native born (Texan), it gets weary for me too and believe me, I DO need a coat. LOL. And gloves. And a scarf. LOL.
Was nice to see the sun this afternoon, but I think it is short lived.

Hi Lori,
I haven't visited you in a long time so I wanted to stop by and say hi. Hopefully you remember me, you won the painting from my blog??
Anyway, I hear what you are saying about the weather and I love the four seasons but that's because I grew up in the midwest but I can see how growing up in California why four seasons are so hard for you. I hope you guys can find a way to get back to what you love. Stop by and see me sometime. I don't decorate with pink anymore but I am having fun with color at my farmhouse.
LeAnn:)
It almost hurts to see you standing in that blowing sleet!
Oh, Lori - you and me both! I want and need the sun SOOOOO bad. As much as I complain during the hot, humid, sticky New England summers, I'll take them and the long, daylight hours over the short, cold, snowy days of winter any time!... Donna
