Today I was at the mall trying to find some cute clothes for vacation next week ~
You know there is something about being 48 and still loving the young soooo cute clothes but not wanting to look like a 48 year old thinking she is a teenager ~ Darn it anyway !
I was dying as I walked around the mall and the romantic yummy clothes were everywhere ! I love love them but got so overwhelmed that I ended up with 2 pair of sandals and that is all ~ The wayyyy cute skirts were all too short and the wayyyy cute clothes at Forever 21 were so crammed in there that I needed a personal shopper to mix and match something and to tell me if it was just a tad too short ~
Anyway here are a few pics of some sweet romantic stuff at Forever 21 that I saw ~ I wanted it all and ended up with none ~

I love the last photo of the cute pink top.
These clothes are adorable! I LOVE Forever 21! I still wear there clothing, and I'm 46, and thankfully, don't really look my age :) I know it's going to catch up with me at some point, but until then....LOL :)
Oh I LOVE the last 2 shells..sooo romantic..I don't see why you can't wear those tops with some linen pants?? or a skirt from a diff depart slightly longer??? My girlfriend is 50 and she layers these cute tanks with shirts under and she looks adorable..just wear them with a more elegant and artsy twist that the younger girls don't have??? I think you can make it look better :-)

Lori, you could truly get away with any of these! Really, you should! I know I would, if I could. ~ Angela
I'd certainly wear them if they came in my size. There are really cute things at Forever 21.
Oh, those clothes are amazing!!! It's good to know I'm not the only lady who is nowhere near the age of 21 who loves their clothing!

Hi Lori,
Oh I love their things, they are too cute! I wish the skirts were a bit longer sometimes. lol Have fun on your vacation! Where are you headed?
hugs,
Carrie
Those are really sweet~ I'm 49 and I say if you feel pretty in them, then you probably are, so go ahead~ besides if you're on vacation, you'll be around new people, so, Maybe they will think you are wayyyy younger. I did when I saw your picture! Lezlee
I love your taste girl! I would have so worn that skirt! Well maybe not...
I have been buying some pretty fou fouie things lately though. I love the new frilly looks in the stores right now.
I loved your dryer sheet roses. Thank you so much for the great tutorial.
hugs
I think you *should* wear it to the post office! Don'tcha love that there are girly clothes again? Not since guinne sax have they been so feminine...but now I want to get to forever 21...it's an hour away but I bet I could get my girl to go with me. It is *Forever 21*, you know?
Rene

HELLO,
I LOVE THE LAST TOP, ITS JUST BEAUTIFUL, I DONT SEE WHY YOU CANT HAVE ONE, I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT....GO FOR IT :)
If you own what you wear then people will think you look cute in whatever you have on. I say go for what your drawn to and then make it unique for you. My 90 yr. old grandma said never act your age and nobody will guess it , and I live by that. Kelli
Well I don't care if I am old & fat, I'm going to get over to Forever 21 & buy a few of those pieces for layering. ;o)
You know what I would say - Buy it all! Get everything you want!! They are all so pretty Lori, I don't think any of those clothes would make you look like you're trying to be younger than you are. They are very classic and pretty. So YOU!
xoxo

Just LOVE the petticoat!
I hope you read old posts. I know just what your saying. I took my daughter to Forever 21 and said the same thing to her. I love whats out there now and feel I still am able to wear it. She lets me know. Anthopologie will just have to keep me happy(sale room).
Enjoy yours!
Oh my, they are super cute clothes. I loved the pink lace top and the pink high heels! This would have made a great Pink Sat. post!!! I know what you mean about not wanting to look old in young clothes but darn it, we should buy them anyway!!!! :0)

Those are beautiful pieces you found. I'm not 40, yet, but I am very tall. Wearing short little skirts and shorts isn't a go for me neither. If you ever go to Kohls they carry Elle, Apt.9 and a line for the volleyball girl whose name I can't remember right now. Anyways, the clothes are made for women, cute, stylish, and not quite as short as some of the things. I find getting older means the clothing gets to be more frumpy. I do not like it :/ We need to have a red alert for these designer people!
Wow, I love them all! I don't think I've even entered that store because...well... I'm not 21!! BUT... now I will definitely check it out! So pretty!
:)

Lori - I'm laughing... I can't tell you how many times I have done that lately!!! That is one of my favorite stores!!!
LOVE the clothes!

OMG! I am dying! I read your intro & I thought you were talking about me! I am 48 & LOOOOVE all of the romantic clothes out now. I love what is in style but I always "try" to keep it so I don't look like I'm trying too hard to be a teenager. I just can't help it, I can't dress the way a lot of 40 somethings dress. Even women younger than me are wearing the mom jeans & tennis shoes! Thanks so much for letting me know I am NOT ALONE:
Dawn:)
Lori. My name is also Laurie. Very funny. I am 47 going on 48, I shop in forever 21 all the time. And that last pink dress I bought it. LAst year. Wore it to my brothers Wake. Cause WHY? he would have loved it. If you can pull it off. Wear it!
