Junking in Kansas

I was actually home for a week almost and then my hubby and I decided

to go visit our friends in Kansas ~

( this isn't their house, just an old house I think is cool )

When we are there I try and hit some of the auctions and antique malls that they have because I always seem to find great stuff at them :)

We went to this one antique junk shop because it is so much fun

to look around at the TONS of things everywhere ~

It is very overwhelming though and pretty

high priced ~

It cracks me up though when people have all this "stuff" that

has probably been there for literally ever and it is priced so high that

it will probably be there for another forevers !

Well it is time to find more treasures ~ Talk to you soon !

Hi! I've seen way too many shops like that, they don't seem to realize how much they could sell if it was only CHEAPER!!
Happy hunting! Love the old house picture.

I've often had that same thought about some shops' inventories. Recently I went back to a place like that and found it all cleaned out and nice with very reasonable prices. When I asked about it, I was told the previous owners who couldn't manage it anymore moved it all to several storage units...they refused to sell out anything. They are evidently just hoarders.

Lori, that sounds like so much fun. I just love going to different Antique shops that I haven't been to before, or that I don't get to go in very often! Love the house that you showed today, it is pretty cool... Hope you have a wonderful weekend. hugs~~~ Daphne

Found you over at Laughing with Angels. Your style is MY style.....I love old things too.

Only I don't get sometimes the opportunity I'd like to incorporate MY style into me and new hubby's life.
He is a country boy.
I am trying to add a little chique

I've noticed that at garage sales too, it's interesting how people just don't understand that you need to price things lower if you want them to sell.

Looks like there is all kinds of wonderful stuff there. Too bad the pricing was high. I'm sure you had fun anyway tho. Always nice to get out and about!
Take care, Karen

Yes shops that save/sell high priced...that's hoarding disease!(for real) they have to get a retail shop to store it all, then disease becomes a business of making no money.
but its fun..like a museum.
Love that house...reminds me of the wizard of oz.
