So suddenly ( well not so suddenly, I guess ) I realize
that fall is here and winter is coming~
I am not like 99.9% of the world who love
cold weather so I am somewhat disturbed by the thought ~
Today I had plans to take some new pictures and it POURED
along with thunder, lightning and the tornado siren ~
I remember when we first moved to Texas from California .... we
would get in the bathtub with a mattress over our head for
every siren ~ It was so exciting !
That passed after the first couple of years of life here and instead
I made pocket pillows during the possible lurking tornado ~
The lighting once again stunk so I had
to take these pictures with a flash which is a TOTAL no no !
Anyhow here are some pictures of things I made and
listed during the hubbub of my workshop
flooding and the sirens blaring ~
( I don't sew in my workshop )

You can find all of this at Katies Rose Cottage ~

Well Lori I can't tell what photos were taken with flash and which weren't. They are all gorgeous!!! I will come and play in your studio anytime! lol
I am getting to where I dislike winter more and more. Never thought I would be that way, but...I don't mind a little cold and a LITTLE snow, but I hate being stranded in for days! UGH!!
Hoping for a mild winter in Michigan!
Blessings~
Hi Lori, We had bad weather today too, we were under a tornado warning... I just happen to be at my mothers and we all got in her storm shelter. I'm terrified when it get's like that! I love your new creations their so beautiful... hugs~~ Daphne
Wow...you are much more productive in bad weather than I am! I heard the sirens and then laid on the couch...it really scared me huh? The rain and thunder just makes me want to curl up. Thanks for visiting my blog! Enjoy the warmer and sunnier weather tomorrow.

Gorgeous Lori!! You certainly know how to create some lovely things!!
Lori, everything is absolutly gorgeous and so are the photos, even with the flash! Your photos are always top notch and professional! I am going back after posting and drooling a bit more over your concoctions! Dreamy!
Hugs,
Diane
PS: I like to see snow from INSIDE! I dislike the cold too! And the brown. I'd rather there be a snow covering the ground all winter.
Oh sweet girl
I just love everything you do.
The pillows are just gorgeously delightful!
I keep on gathering, but not doing right now.
Guess there are just times like that.
Maybe distracted by life, and cannot focus.
Hope it passes soon.
You are such an inspiration to us all.
Blessings

Hi Lori
The photos are fab - lurking tornado or not. Love the color combo's!
Have fun!

Everything is beautiful! I would be scared to death if tornado sirens were going off-I know I couldn't make anything so beautiful!

You made the most gorgeous things during your storm. Hope things dry out in your studio quick. Thanks for sharing!
So pretty....and you are too funny! I guess the "excitement" does wear off after a while with the sirens and such. I live on the gulf coast near Houston/Galveston and we get the same way about hurricanes. They are scary but exciting at the same time.
Maybe a storm should breeze through more often! You do well under duress! :0)
I am not a cold person either and I am NOT looking forward to winter. How about a bloggers retreat to better temps? Now there's an idea I can warm up to!
I love it all! That is funny, I remember the same move. CA to TX & thinking the hail & tornados would blow me back to San Fran. I'd say bad weather is your muse Lori! Your pillows are wonderful & your shakers would be such a great gift! Lisa
You may have used a flash, but the pictures, and your items, are beautiful!! I moved from CA to TX too, about 3 years ago. We're in San Antonio and we do get more exciting weather than So, CA, but luckily not very many tornado warnings. I do love the thunderstorms we get, but there doesn't seem to be as many as when we first moved here.
What part of TX are you in?
Patricia :o)
I just discovered your Blog and I'm loving your creations and beautiful photography of it all. As an Artist that often works with fabrics and trims I adore all the vintage velvets, tapestries, lace and metallic trims or Antique fabrics to make my Bohemian Treasures creations with. It is fun to find like minded Spirits via Blogdom... who have similar passions and love of Found Treasures.

Such pretty creations!
I hate thunderstorms don't ask me why I am in FL cause I still don't know lol. I hate the rain all summer, the hurricanes the humidity and the lack of a fall season.
Under such yucky conditions, you made such beautiful things!
I love everything you do! xox Cassandra
We thought a Tornado was coming to Canton too! I LOVE your Seam Binding Crinkles on the Aged Tags - perfect for scrapbooking!
Hi Katie,
I love all your new creations! Just beautiful. Especially the bottles.
I do some of my best work in bad weather. Unfortunately, we usually just have ice cold wind out of the north. I wouldn't mind more snow.
xo, Karen
Hi Lori, I wanted to thank you for your visit and your sweet comments, I always love reading them... I'm glad you got to go to Laurie's store, I new you would just love it. There is always so much to take in, beauty everywhere! I'm headed over there today to take some more things to her store, I didn't get nearly enough things made though, I just don't seem to have enough time to get everything done.
hugs~~ Daphne
Hi Lori, Your creations are gorgeous, I want it all. hehe Seriously though I went to check on the pocket pillows and they are already gone. I would love to get my hands on some of those one of these days. Don't worry your photos turn out great so much better than how mine turned out for my post. Some were taken on a bad stormy day and I wasn't about to wait for better weather to post. I think I'm going on a hunt for a better camera too.
Have a Wonderful Evening*
Just GORGEOUS, Lori! Wow!
Okay, pardon me if I'm not feeling TOO badly for with winter's cold weather approaching in California because I'm stuck here in New England! haha I'll house swap with you any time during the winter season! It's already getting down into the 30's at night... brrrrr
Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my mom and dad's anniversary post :) Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!... Donna
Katie ..that's so funny about the mattress and the bathtub ..when we moved from CA to MO we did near the same thing ..we always went to basement for the littlest warning grabbing all our personal important belongings knowing it was the big one headed for us ..LOL !!!
Your new creations are beautiful ..but they always are !!!
Blessings ..Sara
