I Need Sun

I am living in Texas and it is cold in the winter !! We moved here about 16 years ago from California for my husband's job ~ It always cracks me up when Texans say that you don't really need a coat here because it doesn't get that cold ~

Well we decided that we need to move somewhere that it is warm all year ~ I literally am not one of those people that needs all 4 seasons ~ I LOVE sun and warmth and if I want to see the seasons then I can take a little trip somewhere just for the weekend or something ~

So this is now ~ Why is this fun for some people ? I just don't get it at all ~ I am only smiling because my daughter and I drove the truck to the woodpile and she sat in the car with the door closed and watched me ~ Then she would open the door just fast enough to say something and close it before the snow came in ~

And this is how I want it to be year round ~

Now this is wayyyy more fun !

I need some warm weather ~ Please come back sunshine ~

Yummy Vintage Pillows & Jars

Today I got some of the yummiest things for my website ~ they are GORGEOUS !!!

I got two wonderful pillows and beautiful adorned vintage jars ~ I have to say that these are very very hard to part with ~ soooo..... I will keep some and share some ~

Katies Rose Cottage Designs

I am loving our new products at Katies Rose Cottage Designs ~ They are just what I had envisioned ~ It has been so much fun !!

I have been trying to take some pictures for some upcoming advertisements and for some reason the lighting is just not right ~ Do you ever do that, where you move from one window to the next or from one side of the yard to the other but hmmmm.... just not it ~

Where is my son in law with his mega awesome camera :)

Stephanie's Wedding

On January 8th our daughter, Stephanie, got married to Josh Gravell ~

It was such a gorgeous wedding and so I wanted to post just a few pictures but I will post more when I get them ~

We are so blessed because one of our son in laws, James Brandon, is a wonderful photographer so he did the wedding ~ I cannot wait to see more pictures that has has taken ~

Market Day 2

It is 10:36 p.m. and I just walked in the door from day 2 at market ~ The day starts early there since we arrive about 7:30 ~ Ohhhhh my gosh I think I am tired ~

But.... it was a really really fun day ~ It is so great to get to meet in person people that I have talked to through blogs or websites ~ Yesterday was fun too meeting people and seeing friends but I didn't even think of taking pictures ~ So today I got a few ~

My daughter, Stephanie just got back from her honeymoon late last night and came up to see me ~ she is so precious and we had fun walking around for a bit and seeing things ~

Brenda from Just a Bed of Roses and her daughter Shellie came by ~ it was awesome to get to meet them after feeling like I have already known them for a few years ~

I hope the other ladies come back by so I can get pictures of them ~ hint, hint .....

YAYYY First Market Day ~

Today was our first day at Market and it was so much fun ! We are exhausted but it was a day of talking, laughter and meeting new people ~

The girls of Vintage Rose Boutiques were very busy today setting up our booth. The excitement of Market is building and we know it's going to be a good one. Here's a few pictures.

We're in booth #2327 on the 12th floor of the World Trade Center.

Here's what setup looks like. It's a hustle and bustle of boxes, packing tape, yards and yards of bubble wrap and of course, papers. Papers for this and papers for that.

Here's our booth nearing completion. Peggy's, Erica's, Carrie's and Lori's lines are beautiful. Kimberly's faux pastries are coming on Thursday.
