The Creative Bug and Valentine's Stuff

Oh my goodness the creative bug has hit me big time

and literally all I want to do is sit and create !!

Today I had so much fun creating

more little Valentine's things and a

Vintage Pocket Pillow ~

I think a super cool present would be

to have a whole uninterrupted week with

my stuff spread out everywhere and

nothing to do but create from sun up to sun down!!

That sounds like pure bliss to me :)

Right before Christmas I won a really

cool French Loaf Server from

LaurieAnna's blog ~

I love it !! I put some Christmas ornaments

and vintage Christmas tag in it when I got it

and just changed it to Valentine's and love it

that way too ~

I have a confession ........

I am ready to take down my Christmas

decorations and start creating again!!

It feels like it has been forever since I have

been able to really focus on sewing, flea marketing,

painting and doing all those fun things that I love ~

New ( Old ) Living Room Decor

I have been in love with creams for quite awhile now,

which you can probably tell by my website

and blog if you have been following me :)

For awhile we have had a pretty much

pinky and white shabby chic style home but I wanted

to redecorate so we are slowly

but surely taking room by room ~

I have always loved to change stuff!!

Anyway, so I decided to go from my complete

white white things

to creams but still keep some white here and there ~

I got a wild hair to tea dye

our white slipcovered sofa and chair in the bathtub ~

It came out cool but truly, a whitish couch with dogs and

well ..... pretty much people too, doesn't work too well ~

I also took some white wood pieces that I had and made

them a creamy color and

really love how they came out!!

Then I wanted to change my wall decor

behind my couch but am kind of

on a personal challenge to not spend alot of money ~

Sooo.... I dug in my own stash

of stuff I have had around waiting for a new home

and created something completely new with

stuff getting really dusty out in my shop ~

It has been so much fun and even more fun

recreating with what I already had!!

After Christmas is over and my decorations are down

I will show you

my new mantel decor and other things ~

The Red Shed

The other day I was Christmas shopping and for some reason

the grouchy people were really starting to get to me.....so

what is a girl to do when it was no fun anymore ?

Go antiquing !

The Red Shed was where I decided to go and it was

definitely a wonderful place to get away from the rat race of

the mall and Target ~

I actually went for that "I just need to have some empty head time" ~

Well in all reality my head was going crazy with all of the awesomeness

and how I could use it for my current redecorating ~

For some reason that sort of crazy headness was alot more fun !!!

Valarie helped me with an empty wall of my house and I

got the coolest architectural piece that they picked up in Minnesota ~

Anyway here are some pictures of the wonderfulness that I

saw ~

I am in awe sometimes when I think about

the precious people

that I have met through blogging ~ It feels like they

are the sweetest of friends even though you may not

have ever met in real life ~

Canton & LaurieAnnas

Last Thursday I got to do one of my

very favorite things and that is to go to Canton, Tx

to First Monday ~ It is soooo much fun because it is

a treasure trove of junk and also of

gorgeous shops and booths ~

I love to visit LaurieAnnas shop when I am there ~

I have said before that it is so gorgeous

it takes my breath away

and brings tears to my eyes literally!

Every single thing she sells

and every piece of display she has is beyond beautiful!

I got to chat with her a little this month,

she is such a sweetheart and is beyond talented!

I wanted to come back and get some pictures

but we had to leave earlier than expected

so sweet Daphne let me use some of hers ~
