All About Bags

Yesterday for some reason it

was all about the bags !

I have burlap bags and muslin bags

that have been in my studio for a few months

and for some reason

all of a sudden they were calling my name ~

These are what I worked on ~

So seriously ............

I am supposed to be organizing this closet

that I have put off for ohhhh about 10 years ~

We are getting new hardwood floors though

so it is a necessity of life unless the workers

want to get killed when they open it ~

Why in the heck do I have this closet and

how in the heck did it get like this !!

Oh my gosh !

Okay off to organize and toss !

WAIT !! I have worked for 10 minutes and I am

at a stand still ~

For all of your organizy type gals out there ~

What if I have something that

I think is cute or pretty and I really like

it but don't have a clue what to do with it ???

Here is an example ... she is darling but I won't

put her out because she doesn't go with

my decor ~

Do I save her for grandkids one day? ~

Do I put her out on Easter? ~

This is just one example of ..... ohhhh quite

a few things ~

(Oh my gosh, is this what hoarders think ??)

What do I do ?

AHHHHH !!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the bags, but dont toss a thing! You will need it next week! Just go to Wally world and get several of those little plastic drawer thingies. I have many of them and love them. But God made closets with doors on them just for this reason, to hide stuff! teehee.
Hugs to you!! love your pretties!!!

First of all, I think your bags are a complete delight. As for the mouse.....adorable, keep her, she's too sweet to toss. Char

I sure do see a lot of pink in there! haha Now, this is coming from a person who doesn't create kick booty bags like yours. My thought? If you can't use it now, toss it, donate it, or give it away to someone who can use it. And you have to remember my one word for the year- "minimize". Good luck with that! ~Mindy

I love all of the chic bags! Good luck with the organizing. I always seem to make a bigger mess before I make progress. But, it feels better to get it done, lol.

Oh Lori, your bags are adorable... I bought some little burlap and muslin bags at Laurie's many months ago and their still laying in my studio, I haven't done a thing with them!!! Lori I totally understand you wanting to keep your little treasure's, I have the same problem, I want to keep to much and it ends up in storage, it has really become a big problem for me! I think I definitely am a hoarder!!!

this is crazy, because this is just the kind of dilemma i am facing also today! I decided I AM a hoarder, a CRAFT and MAGAZINE and CRAFT BOOKS hoarder! I was like no more! I'm going to cut more than half of this out of my home and take it to Half price books to sell. I am piling up magazines as high as my height I'm sure! Some are from 2003!!! And books on everything from cross stitch to quilting, heirloom sewing, glue crafts (?!) and on and on! I'm feeling good but I haven't even touched the craft items! Oh, it's so hard to part with anything that my brain says"I can make something with this later on." At least I'm not alone...

I just spent 2 days cleaning a closet just like that and ended up with 2 bags of donations for the Goodwill. I just can't keep everything....Oh, it is tough!

First of all, those ruffle bags are ADORABLE! If you decide to wholesale them to retailers, let me know - OR if you just want to sell one, I'd love that too LOL Second of all....I am right there with you on the hoarders thing LOL I made my husband drag out every single rubbermaid from the attic last week. I've been sorting, tossing, and like you trying to figure out what to do with things I can't bear to part with....good luck to you! And for the little stuffed animal....make a cute little sign for her to hold and set her out on your desk or in your creative space as a mascot : ) I think she's cute! ~Destiny

Ok, that little bunny, mousy, whatever kind of creature it is, is the cutest thing in the world. I see sweet stuffed animals like that at the thrift store all the time, and struggle with whether or not to buy them! It's hard to walk away. Maybe you should carry it with you, and wait for an opportunity to give it to someone as a surprise... like maybe a young lady at a drive through window at McDonalds... or a child in an appropriate situation.. or something fun like that... it would definitely make it more bearable to let it go...

Hello Lori...we have this in common! I have finally hit a point in my life where I can let go of things. My kids have there own taste and unless it is a family treasure it goes. Love all your bags!!

Love the bags. Beautiful. As for the stuffed animal, put it in an easter basket and give it away. Some lucky child will take care of it for you.

Love those bags Lori! They are beautiful! I can't get enough burlap right now for some reason! Your closet looks like mine and I too am pairing down and tossing out (donating/yard sale). I am determined to live a simpler life when we move. We'll see for how long. he he

Hi Katie Girl! :) ..love the bags! I always love your stuff though. Trying to figure out how to remake my house Katie style lol....then I could use more of your things that way! I'm a massive hoarder also! Half the stuff I have doesn't fit anywhere, but I love looking at it...sometimes it even inspires me to get back to creating when I need a kick in the pants hehe, like NOW! I can't seem to get at it since the holidays. That little bunnie is just way over the top adorable....so if you decide to part ways with it...let me know...I have the perfect little Emma girl who would love it! :) Keep me in mind! :) Oh and if you want to feel better about your messes and hoarding...you should see mine! LOL.. Love your new website tooo. It's beautiful!

I LOVE THE BAGS! So cute...... It has been two years and I am almost there....we have been cleaning out the house, garage, and two storage bldgs. I think anyone who does the kind of business that we all do HAS to be a horder, otherwise how could we all come up with such great ideas with nothing laying around the house?

Deidra said...

I love your new website, it looks so awesome! Also, loving the new bags! Well, it has taken me two years to clean out all of my "hoarding junk", and I am not through yet. I still have two storage sheds to go through. I guess if we weren't hoarders, we couldn't come up with the cool stuff we design and sell. Here's to hoarding...woohoo!

Sorry Lori, thought I lost the first post....so I re-did it.I swear I think Cathy and I are both computer idiots...we do this all of the time!
