Drop Cloth Ruffled Bag

I am reposting this from January because

I LOVE Drop Cloth fabric and am participating in

My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia's

Blogger Block Party !

I have been ruffling the world lately with

my awesome ruffler for my Bernina

(which I love too !)

There have been some wonderful tutorials

and ideas for drop cloths because

it is the coolest fabric with such a vintage look

and a great price !

Who would have known that drop cloths were good

for bags too !

This is such a beautiful bag. I have seen them around and I love them. I don't have a good sewing machine, so the ruffles would be an issue...but your's turned out fantastic!

I adore this bag! And I have never considered myself to be a "ruffly gal", but I love these more simple ruffles done on light colors, and simple vintage fabrics like ticking...

You truly do such lovely work!!
Have a fab week!

Cute bag! I think I saw that in link party! Thanks for stopping by my blog and visiting! I love hearing from new people! I hadn't even considered what I would do to make the fabric water resistant, but what a great idea and totally necessary if I wanna make pillows for the patio! I will definitely look into that.. let me know if you figure it out!

What a gorgeous little purse! I love it. I have never sewn the drop cloth fabric. I am wondering how it sews up and I'm wondering if my machine could handle it. It doesn't do well with three thicknesses of Jean fabric. How does it compare, can you tell me? Thanks so much.
Hugs, Cindy

ADORABLE!!!!!!!! Love what you did with this! And isn't it amazing how much difference there is from brand to brand of drop cloths? Cindy bought one from one place that was so stiff & horrible yet, we got some at Lowes & they were divine! CUTE BAG! And girlfriend... can you believe it's raining outside???? HOLY MOLY I almost forgot what that sounds like! ENJOY! It's supposed to be 101 again by the weekend. AND WHY DO WE LIVE IN TEXAS IN THE SUMMER?

I want one of these so much?
Do you sell them? I have some leftover dropcloth material...I may have to try my hand at making one for me and maybe a bookbag style for my daughter for school! Although my sewing skills are elementary at best! You are very talented!
