Craziness !!!

I am lost deep in the depths

of cleaning my studio ~

I figured since I had a trail from

the door to my sewing machine

and to my computer that it was

time to clean and destash like

craziness!!

I have so much stuff that I think

I might use to create with ....

Stuff to do photo vignettes with ....

and just stuff I am not sure why with ~

Anyway ... so I have been pulling things

out and trying to list stuff in

my flea market category that I won't use

anymore ~ And also taking a bunch to

the thrift store that I don't feel

like listing because I am over it ~

These pictures are to make you all

feel really good about yourself and

to keep me accountable to finish ~

I am such a candidate for

Where Women Create aren't I ~ Hahaha !!

Alrighty I am back to burying myself

in "STUFF" ~

Update #1

I need a gazillion plastic bins !!

Update #2 ~ 8:08 p.m.

Oh my gosh I can see the floor ~

I need to stop and spend time with my hubby

but just maybe it will be done in

ohhhhh about a week !

I would say that are rooms could be SISTERS....;) I have an Extremely bad habit of over buying.... Especially when it comes to fabric and notions.... Truly I could open up my own shop... :) I hope you show us the After photos..

I really think you are in better shape than I am. You can't see the top of anything in my sewing craft room. All the lace and lacy things that I have brought home in the last month or two is on top of everything. I Have Got To Get BUSY Too. It is craziness!!!

This is funny, maybe it's the change of seasons but I have been doing the same thing over here! I am going on the end of a full week of trying to organize the mess that I have created! Wishing much success and organization! toxoxoxo

I have to laugh!!! You think you have a lot "you might use"...I think we could be sista's in that area:) My poor cat always has thread hanging off her fur and I have stuff in every nook and cranny in my studio--I know its time to destash when it spills out into the linen and bathroom cupboards. The fun part of cleaning up is that I do find new ideas for stuff I forgot I had!

Well, I am right there with ya! Been doing the same thing for about a month now when I have time! It's a chaotic mess full of cool "stuff" that I'll probably never get around to using! Good luck! ~Destiny

Looks like you know what to spend the time with this weekend Lori :o)
I´m sure you have lots of great stuff in there.

Too funny Lori!! I have come to the conclusion that those of us who love to create will live in a mess from time to time in our studios. hee hee I call mine "organized chaos"! :)

Tee hee heee, I'm glad you've posted, there's just something about seeing everyone's studios in perfect order and never seeing their mess that can give a person a complex. Now at least we know we are all just the same, and is it bad of me to wish I lived next door so I could be the recipient of some of your overflow? I know it's bad, it's really really bad LOL. Good luck! Hugs!

Uh-oh! You might need a map to navigate it all, Lori! LOL!

Lori!

I could have written this post! I just finished making two burlap pillows, one for myself and one for my giveaway, and I am COVERED in burlap lint! My sewing/craft room floor is a web of burlap threads and other scraps I have cut off and let drop. The only good thing is - I can just close the door. I loved your comment on "Where Women Create"! Made me laugh out loud! You can bet those women had to clean for hours to get their studios camera-ready!!! MESS just seems go to with the territory of creating and blogging!

Thanks for the visit and comment, by the way! You are so sweet!

Oh Lori you are so brave to share! LOL! Actually it looks pretty good to me! It's funny that times I get to the point I am tripping over things and think...it's time to clean! Who has time to clean when we are crafting? One project to the other! Love your studio!

Hugs,
Maryjane

Even through the stuff...your room looks so pretty! Totally YOU! I'm sending it to my hubby so he can get some ideas. My office needs a makeover.

Oh Lori,
You are so sweet to reveal your studio to us! I have been organizing my quilting/craft room and have donated a ton of fabric and books...but I still have a LOT of fabric and craft items, too! I howled when you talked about "Where Women Create". Someone gave me a sign that says, "Martha Stewart Doesn't Live Here...It's a Good Thing". Your creations are wonderful! Please do show us your "after" so it will inspire us! And if you don't have any "after" photos, that's OK too! We can all empathize with you!
Blessings,

I know exactly the situation - I started cleaning up my studio in January since I could no longer walk thru it...but since I got a path cleared, I never got back to it...now I feel guilty...I wish you luck - its a huge task - you can do it!
