Baby Shoes & Randomness

I just adore little vintage

baby shoes ~ There is just

something so very precious

about them!

Today I was trying to decide

if I could actually part with

any ~ I took some pictures and

haven't listed them yet on my website

because I am not sure if I can :)

Do you ever get things to sell you just

have a hard time parting with ?

I am in love with Dawn's Baby Pincushions

so maybe that is what I will do with them ~

You can get a tutorial from her here ~

On a totally different subject .....

I have been playing around with my

blog since Donna at Funky Junk Interiors

told us about purchasing our own

blog domain ~

I went from a blogspot URL to my own

and also added a favicon ~ I am

so excited!! I have only changed the

favicon about 6 times because I wanted

a picture but they are really hard

to see so tiny ~ It was stinkin' scary

for me to switch to my own URL ~

I am totally not computer saavy and

was freaking out that I would lose

my whole blog ~ It took about

72 hours for the switch to take place

but I think it is done now ~

Do you see me at a blogspot URL

or at katiesrosecottageblog.com ?

Also do you see the BIG ORANGE BLOG favicon

or just the letters KRC ? I am just

curious since I really haven't a clue

what I am doing ~

Ohhhh I thought I was actually done

blabbing but I wanted to let you know that

I have 10% off my website from now

until November 2 ~

Okay I am done :)

I see katiesrosecottageblog.com. Congrats on the switch. I don't see the new favicon though. The baby shoes are so cute. I know what you mean about some things being hard to part with. I can't tell you how many times I've given my husband "The Look" when he asks about selling certain items.

I see katiesrosecottage.com and the KRC. What is the difference with it and blogspot?
I am going to be at the Mall tomorrow, I am redoing my booth. Putting in some of the vintage things I have collected and some Christmas. Putting up a vintage aluminum tree. If you get a chance I would love for you to come by, maybe we could have lunch in the tea room.

I was trying to mess with favicon yesterday. With no luck! Any help would be helpful. Not real computer savvy! Love yours!

Ummmmm! what the @#!$$! is the favicon? Isn't it that the thing at the very top that has the B? On the URL thingy i see you as Katie's Rose Cottage, but I do still see the "blogger" favicon with the orange "B"...
and the baby shoes are just too heavenly...

And I LOVE baby shoes. The pin cushion idea is perfect... I've been wanting to do that with my boys' baby shoes for a long time. Thanks for refreshing that idea for me!

Why is it that we adore baby shoes? I have my grandfather's on display and a baby picture of him in a dress. Pincushions are a good idea to jazz them just a little.

Lori, so you just have a domain that you forward to the blogspot? And how do you add a favicon? You are showing on my computer as Katiesrosecottageblog.com with a krc favicon. Looks awesome, Girl!!

I just bought a pair of old baby shoes last year when I was in Tulsa. I look at them every day and try to decide what to do with them. I know the perfect idea will come up. Right?

I love those little mary janes Lori. I don't think there are too many things cuter than vintage baby shoes.
I have one little pair that all six of my children wore as infants, and I've always said if there was a fire they would be the first thing I would grab.
You are a brave one. It would scare the begebees out of me to do anything to this blog.
sending hugs...

Lori,
Okay, not to sound like a big dummy but what is a favicom? If I knew I'd look for yours! :) I am so impressed with techno savviness that I'm going hunting for my domain. I do own my name .com. Did that years ago before I blogged. Now when I become famous people can find me. LOL Wish I was going to see you Thur. I hope we have time to go to LaurieAnnas.
PS Feel the same about the baby shoes & own a pair of Dawns pincushions. Love them.

I see the favicon and was wondering how you did that? I want to change mine, but don't even know where to start.

Love the baby shoes too. Wish my mom had kept mine instead of having them bronzed.

Hugs to you Lori, I too have a hrad time parting with a treasured find. Those baby shose are precious and that very first photo took my breath away! It is that same baby shoe my father wore as an infant, I have just one that was given to me from my grandmother when her passed away at such a young age of 35
I have kept it all these years along with my first shoe.

I guess I had family members that only kept one of the shoes for a keep sake.
I would have a hard time letting the shoes go maybe its a girl thing with us, its in breaded in us to love shoes :)

Maybe you can hang them on a holiday tree with a child like vintage theme to one of your trees :)

Thank you sweet friend for adding a clam to my post with your beautiful visit, encouraging what I love to do and create.
Have a inspired weekend of calm,
xoxo

I love collecting baby shoes because they are really cute. When I saw this vintage baby and toddler's shoes I ask to myself "Do I have a shoes when I was a baby then, where is it?"
