Ruffle Bag Pattern

I have had quite a few

questions on the pattern for the

bag that is in my blog and

website headers

so I wanted to show you

which one I used ~

It is super easy!! I used

muslin for that one but I also

love it in drop cloth fabric too!!

This bag below I just made up the pattern

but it shows you what it can look

like with just a ruffle of

lace in between~

Here is the pattern I used ~

I am pretty sure it is still available

because it has not been that long

since I made it ~

I love that bag and all the better with lace. I think those see and sews are less expensive than some patterns. Can you believe how expensive patterns have gotten!!

I thought about applying this concept of ruffles to dress up my reusable grocery bags that I have. They are so plain, I thought a little ruffle and lace is in order...lol! just might be the next 2012 project!! thanks for sharing and have a fabulous day!

Those bags are fun and fabulous! Sure wish I had learned to sew. A friend tried to teach me to use a sewing machine in 1989, but I had a lead foot on the pedal that made it go. :/ She finally finished the project, a log cabin pillow cover, for me as she knew it wasn't gonna happen with the way things were going. Oh well! Happy new year to you, Tammy

That is a lovely purse, and if I ever get motivated to make one, now I'll know what pattern to use. You are a very talented seamstress.

Hi Lori! It's always such a delight to hear from you. I love that first ruffle bag you made and have checked several times to see if you have more for sale. Will you be making anymore soon or do you take special orders? You are very sweet to share the pattern, but gosh darnet, I can't sew!
