Ruffly Rose

Do you ever go through a day

thinking (obsessing) about

a project that you want

to do and as soon as you get home

you just have to try it out ?

In my mind I was digging through

fabrics that I have in my stash

and going through each step of

making these melted edge roses ~

Anyway in between making dinner

I was melting fabric edges ....

and then I had to finish before the

sun went down too far to take

pictures :)

I got it done in time

and I really like how this "sweet

in pink rose" came out and it

was fun too!

I would do a tutorial but there

are a gazillion already online ~

I am pretty positive I will

be making more for my website soon ❤

**** I have had tons of questions

so this is kind of an add on..

I used an old slip that I got at

a thrift store for the fabric :) ****

Love it Lori! I have tons of fabric and rhinestone pins and I just can't to try it out....You should make them for the website, they are so popular right now.

Can you believe the storms last night? Good grief. I thought for sure the Tornadoes would hit us...so happy it did not but the wind...that is another story!

You take care! xo

Those are the prettiest melted roses I have seen yet. Hope you don't mind if I pin it for inspiration. At one point in your point I was afraid you were going to say you burnt down your kitchen or something. LOL Glad you made them without incident--burning down the kitchen is something I would do. Can you tell me what kind of fabric you used? Like I said--yours are so pretty!

Oh, also, please give us a heads up if you post them on your website!

Hey sweet Lori, well, I've seen these online, yes, but yours is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I love the fabric you used, not so sheer and the edges curled beautifully ~ love it!! I hope you are doing so good, getting ready to have two precious angels to kiss on, I'm sure! hugs and love, Dawn

Love your melted roses...they are prettier than "plain ones" with the different fabric and the lace. Thanks for sharing.....what kind of lt pink fabric is that...tee shirt, or 100%cotton.... or what?

Question: You don't burn the lace do you? Most I've tried doesn't work. Do you just cut in in a rounded peice? Please advise. And do you know what kind of material the slip was? Was it polyester of some sort? I know the material has to be flamable/burnable to do a good burn and not burn up! Thanks, and by the way, even if there are lots of tutorials, I always manage to learn something new from each one! So don't let that stop you!! Thanks so much for sharing! Laura
