Do you ever have those
"project fail" days ?
Oh my gosh I totally had
one today!
I got the bright idea
to precut 40 yards of muslin
to use for ruffles for
some things ~ I love the
washed look so I
stuck it in the washer
with lots of fabric softener ~
It came out in a HUGE ball
of a tangled unraveled
scrunched up mess!!
Sooooo I am going
to make a gazillion
rolled roses ~ There
are going to be rolled
roses on everything I
am thinking :)
I am off to roll away ~

They are very pretty. Kind of like making lemonade when all you have is lemons. Happy rolling in roses...
Rolled roses are nice.....
Have fun!
accidental creativeness is sometimes a stroke of genius .. the roses look amazing ..

I like the rolled roses. I am still excited to make my version of a tattered rose. You are inspiring!
Oh my! Looks like my hair in the morning LOL! Have fun rolling all those roses! Hugs, Leena
Ah darling Lory you made me laugh a lot!! =)
Sometimes it happens also to me to do things like this... but so I have to use a lot of fantasy, and always rises something good. Good Job!
ps
I made your tattered roses: they are stunning! Thank you for the tutorial.

Just beautiful!

Your roses will be wonderful. I love all the things you do. You inspired me to make a rolled rose. No mind you I use hot glue a bit and I don't think I have a finger print anymore. Do you use hot glue? Crafting is not for sissies is it? Happy rolling.

Lori,
Still waiting for more of those sweet soft-pink pins on your site. I check everyday. Here's hoping! I'm building a collection of your pins. Whenever I wear them, I get compliments galore. :) I always point them to your site.
Blessings & hugs,
Karen
Your roses looks so pretty.
Oh Lori I have more of those days than I want to admit. But, not every day can be 100%... Keep creating as we both know it keeps us sane!!! HUGS!

Oh...I had a surprise like that at Christmastime. I precut strips of natural fabric that is slightly heavier than muslin and washed and dried them. Washing wasn't so bad, but the dryer made a big mess. It took a bit of patience, but my "garlands" looked great on the tree.
Your roses are and will be beautiful!
I love love love rolled roses! I make mini ones into rings. Sold a few at a recent craft show :)

Okay maybe you did not find 10,000 ways to use your ball of mess, but you just never know what project is gonna need your gazillion rosettes :)
Ok Miss L...
Next time put your strips inside a lingerie bag OR a pillowcase knotted at one end (or pined with safety pins). I promise they will come out FINE!
Happy Rolling! :)

I also tried to make such roses. They became wonderful as well. And it is not very easy. Thank you for the idea!! Greetings from The Netherlands
These are beautiful!
Lori,
I am sorry for the muslin mess-up but I know you will put it all to good use. Maybe not all roses. You could use some of it to embellish your "Flea Market Mini Totes". But what ever you do with all of the muslin I know it will all come out looking great!
Blessings,
Betsy
Superbes roses en tissu! j'adore!
