Handmade Christmas

This year we wanted to renovate
our Christmas decor, but
we had so many Christmas
decorations already!

So, we decided to reuse some old
decorations, add a few Black Friday
finds, and a touch of vintage
flare to make a handmade Christmas
that was in our holiday budget ~

Our creation tools:

Adding German Glass Glitter to
the ornament toppers and
music sheets to the ornaments
added vintage touches ~

We also made some Mercury Glass
ornaments ~
You can find the tutorial for
Mercury Glass here ~

After a day of creating we
had all new decorations
for our handmade Christmas ~

Have fun this Christmas adding
your own handmade touches to
your decor ~ Merry Christmas!

These are all so pretty! I just love the German glass glitter! I went on a frenzy a couple of years ago with mine and now I can't find it in the craft stores anymore. I don't remember where I bought it! What a fun day you must have had, crafting.

I know what you mean by wanting to change things up...it is silly to go out & buy new decor when you've already spent years collecting! I like what you created! Your home is going to be delightful, I'm sure! Xoxo, tracie

And they all turned out great. I might just have a go at "renovations" this week myself.

That's so great you re-did some old ornaments. It's alot of fun to me to figure out how to make the old look new and different. I'll look forward to posts showing your new decorations. I'll be buying some of that looking glass paint to change up a few items I have. The ornaments you redid are so pretty in the baskets.
Where did you get your German glass glitter? Sure would love to try some of that stuff.

I love ow you repurposed your decorations for a new look this year? May I ask what you used the Patina Black for? Was it to age the mercury glass you created on the ornaments? Just wondering.

Lori & Kristin,
So that glass spray really works huh? I'm off to find some. I just found a chalk marker at Lonestar (never knew they exsisted) and am in love with it!
